Join ceramics instructor Dolores Kirschner during this 4-part series where participants will learn the ins and outs of ceramic birdhouse building! Create your own birdhouse, learning what size and dimensions your house should have according to the avian visitors to your yard. First session explores the beginnings of slab building, the process of using clay slabs to construct complex structures. The second session continues with slab building and joining techniques, while the third and fourth session explores finishing and surface decoration for your newly built abode. Invite wildlife to your backyard through this simple and fun clay activity! Finished bird houses will be fired and completed to be picked up at a later date. Tea and cookies will be offered during work sessions.
