Encaustic Painting Workshop

Surround yourself with the heavenly smell of beeswax, while crafting a richly layered, gorgeous painting.  Encaustic is an ancient technique used by contemporary artists, where molten beeswax and resin over paint create luminous effects. This technique creates depth because of its multiple layers.  Come with an idea or just let instructor Lisa Gauker and the medium guide your creative process.  No painting experience necessary.  Previous students welcome. Children ages 12+ welcome.

$50 for adults, $30 for school aged children.  Register at least one week prior to class to ensure enrollment.  A full refund will be given for any cancelled workshops.  All prices include materials.  Unless otherwise noted, workshops are open to all ages, but children 12 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Registration can be completed by contacting the studio during regular business hours, 610-987-0273, or by registering online HERE.

Photo Lithography Workshop

Do you have a wonderful image that would look fabulous on a ceramic vessel?  Lisa Gauker can guide you through the process of transferring a photo or text onto clay.

Photo Lithography is a simple way to transfer laser printed/xeroxed images onto clay surfaces.

Students need to bring:

  1. Laser printed or xerox copied images on regular bond paper (not photo printing paper and not ink jet prints).
  2. Leather hard pots with simple forms, like cylinder shaped mugs.  If you don’t have a pot ready, let us know!  We can provide a mug for a modest additional fee.

Saturday 4/7/18 10am to 12

Instructor: Lisa Gauker $40 + $15 materials fee
