McPeake, is a native of Berks County, Pennsylvania. He left the area to go away to college and years later returned as a licensed practitioner of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. Owen practiced in Maryland and Philadelphia before deciding to call rural Berks home again. Chinese medicine seems to be on the tip of many peoples tongues these days and it’s Owen’s mission to make it accessible and practical to those who are looking for an different solution to the question of how to care for body and mind. Owen maintains that Chinese medicine (meaning acupuncture and Chinese herbalism) is not “alternative medicine” in the sense that it was quite primary for many millions of people for many thousands of years. Owen seeks to bring that same historical diligence to the practice of acupuncture and Chinese herbs in rural Pennsylvania. The workshop is $45.
