Cartooning w/ Ray Lapinski (4 Part Series)

Drawing is a wonderful way to communicate when words don’t do the trick.  You’ll learn the basics of cartooning, including basic anatomy, and character development, including dialogue and expressions.  Students will create a three page storyboard.  As a rising senior at the LV Charter Arts High School, Ray Lapinski will be able to relate to your perspective while also providing guidance and demonstrating techniques that will help you convey your story.  Ray is a 2017 National Scholastic medal winner.  Students will bring their own 8”x12” sketchbook to class; colored pencils, pencils and ink will be provided.

The cartooning class is open to all ages, but is an excellent choice for kids and teens since Ms. Lapinski has an intuitive understanding of the perspective of youth, combined with a solid understanding of technique.
