Plan Your Summer Herb Garden

Dolores Kirschner, owner operator of Classic Flowers and Herbs and a grower of herbs for local retailers, will discuss the best management practices to grow healthy herbs in your garden setting.  Whether you’re looking for culinary , medicinal, or ornamental varieties, Dolores will be able to guide each participant towards the best assortment of herbs to grow for each application.  Plant care, light requirements, and harvesting will be discussed as well.  Come learn a bounty of information about including herbs in your garden this summer!

$40 per adult, or $20 per school-aged child.

Clay on Main offers workshops about twice a month, exploring diverse topics.  Register at least one week prior to workshop to ensure enrollment. A full refund will be given for any cancelled workshops.  All prices include materials.  Unless otherwise noted, workshops are open to all ages, but children aged 12 and under need to be accompanied by an adult.

Herb Container Workshop w/ Sandra Britland- May 13th, 2017

Create a beautiful hanging herb garden so you can keep your cooking or tea herbs close at hand.  Learn how to plant, care, use, and preserve your herbs. The planting techniques can be used for ground containers too. Material cost includes hanging basket, liner, soil, and herbs for either a cuisine or a tea hanging garden. Recipes will also be shared. Additional herbs will be available for purchase.

Instructor: Sandra Britland $50 + 15 materials fee

Clay on Main will be offering the following special one-day workshops throughout the season. The enrollment in the workshops is limited to allow hands-on activities; with a lot of one-to-one attention to insure that each individual reaches her/his full potential. Workshops run on Saturdays from 10:00 to 1:00 PM. Class size is limited.
