Instructor Spotlight: Elise Arnold

As a long time member and instructor at Clay on Main, Elise Arnold has had a lasting influence on the studio.  If you look closely, you can spy one of her many sculptures of horses or goddesses tucked away in the studio.  So why the horses, Elise?

I have created and experimented with many mediums throughout my life. Painting, silversmithing and ceramics have been constant. I have studied and received degrees at Tyler School of Art, Goddard College, University of London’s Goldsmiths College, and Morely College.
I continue to show and sell my art creations nationally and internationally, as well as collaborate and work with other fine artists, learning and sharing ideas.  I am a teacher that has been working over 25 years, both as an artist in residence, and also at all levels of education.
I have come to believe that people are inherently creatively expressive and the visual arts are just one avenue for us to communicate, contemplate, and celebrate our lives.
